Here a short story behind how we came to be who we are. This project is the result of a coffee table conversation between two friends with a strong sense of determination. As two proudly Portuguese men we wished to share our home delicacies with our second home country, England. Thus, Arrabida Biscotti, England’s access to Portuguese sweet treats!
Arrabida is a well known place back home, deeply appreciated by both of us. A mountain national park surrounded by beaches, which is home to a variety of wild and sea life, and our hearts.
Biscotti comes from the word biscoito in Portuguese, meaning biscuit. We chose on the translation of biscotti in honer of our fellow Italian friends. Sharing a passion for food and community which is deeply engrained in Italian culture as much as Portuguese, something we hope to transcend into British culture.
